The Rotterdam Central Library, as one of the most famous iconic buildings in the city, is currently undergoing a large-scale renovation and is planned to be completed by 2030.
After renovation, the library will retain its original striking architectural features, including oversized ventilation ducts, criss crossing escalators, stepped terraces, and iconic industrial style contours.
In addition, glass curtain walls and multiple entrances and exits will be added to improve its natural lighting and connectivity with surrounding streets and city squares.
