The K11 Cultural Center is located at the core of a large-scale waterfront development project on the west coast of Shenzhen.
The building, along with adjacent shopping centers and office buildings, forms a cultural and commercial district, connected by landscaped public spaces.
The design did not pursue an independent architectural image, but viewed the building as an extension of the coastal walkway – a public passage connecting the city and the coast.
