The Ronggui Island Marathon in Shunde, Guangdong, was founded in 2016.
It was originally a long-distance running event for Ronggui on New Year’s Day, later upgraded to the Ronggui Half Marathon, and then upgraded to a full marathon event.
It is the first official marathon event in Foshan, Guangdong and has become a cherished event for many runners in Guangdong during the New Year.
