Since its establishment, the Shanghai Suzhou River Half Marathon has been hosted by the Putuo District Sports Bureau, relying on the 21 kilometer waterfront of the “Half Masu River” to create a distinctive urban road running event.
The first edition attracted 7000 runners to participate, and the second edition in 2024 further improved the organizational level and service experience, and was selected as one of the top 20 in the Shanghai Sports Event Influence Evaluation Report.
The competition is based on the concept of “measuring the cultural belt of Su River with footsteps”, connecting historical and modern landmarks such as Tian’an Qianshu, M50 Creative Park, and the former site of the Central Mint, showcasing the unique charm of the integration of Putuo industrial relics and urban renewal.
With its beautiful track environment, efficient race guarantee, and strong cultural atmosphere, Suhe Half Marathon quickly won widespread praise from runners and became a new high-quality boutique road running brand in Shanghai.
