At 8:30 am on June 15th, with a crisp whistle, more than 5200 runners rushed out of Datong West Station in Xining City, Qinghai Province, running on the plateau with an average altitude of 2000 meters – the 2025 Datong Half Marathon officially kicked off.
This competition, with the theme of “Chasing Dreams in a City of Mountains and Rivers, Riding Horses to Reach the Great Realm”, is not only a competition of speed and endurance, but also a vivid practice of Datong Hui and Tu Autonomous County to promote the deep integration of agriculture, sports, culture, tourism and commerce.
